Jade Bracelets

While looking at new swarovski crystals shapes and colors at my supplier's stall in Divisoria last week she told me that Jade is one of the most choosen gem stone today because it is said to bring goodluck. I saw some of her pre-made jade bracelets for sale but I ought to make my own. So I chose different shapes of jade from her stocks (I chose the small ones) and  made them into bracelets, one for me and the other one for my friend Nice who was visiting our home the other night while I'm handcrafting them.

Accordingly, Jade is the stone of Wisdom and Prosperity. There are many different colors of jade and Green is the the most common. Green Jade is said to calm the nervous system. It represent life and growth and assist in finding true desires of the heart of the wearer.

I hope this bracelets will bring us wisdom and prosperity.

Swarovski Faceted Cube Earrings

Aside from my previous creations that still are our customers’ favourites, this year my goal as an artisan (I think I am already) is to continuously craft new pieces of handmade jewelries. I already ordered new shapes, colors and designs of Swarovski crystals from my supplier and expected to arrive this week. All I need is to wait for creative juices to pour out and will be able make something simple, pretty or elegant jewelries and accessories that ladies will soon love.

Meanwhile, here’s one of my previously made dangling earrings that have not been noticed before but after making them with different colors last month, orders finally came in.

For this piece, I used 8mm Faceted Cube (5601) Swarovski Crystals and 14k (14/20) gold filled wires for the hook and 14k (14/20) gold filled components. And these are the three colors available to date:

Light Siam AB

Crystal AB

 Jet Black AB

Nail Art: Double Perpendicular Lines

As promised, I hand drawn a simple design on my Emerald Green nails and I'm calling this design as "Double Perpendicular Lines".

The base color is Revlon's Matte Suede Emerald City, you can find the swatches on my previous post.

The two perpendicular lines of light green and yellow were hand painted using acrylic paints.

I'm loving my trimmed nail art brush, because I can now draw lines with ease and neatness.

Emerald City this time looks more vibrant right? because the design was sealed using a shiny top coat. Gone is the matte finish of the nail polish.

Overall, this design for me is so simple yet with elegance.

How about you? What is your verdict?

Nail Polish: Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City

According to Pantone, the 2013 color of the year is the lively, radiant, and lush "Emerald Green". It is said to be  "a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony"

After knowing this, I remember I have an emerald green in my stash. The Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City nail polish that I have purchased last year at 25% off at Robinsons.

Basically as the name implies the polish if of matte finish, though it's not that very matte compared to the matte top coat the I had but still it has the spirit of matteness in it because it's not that shiny compared to other nail polishes.

This lush green polish is full of tiny shiny specks of green that shimmer evidently during application (while wet) and somewhat losses its sparkle when dry.

I have no problem with the application, the formula is great with just two coats you'll achieve full opacity just like what you see on my nails.

Overall, I find this polish to my taste especially when applied with top coat for more shine and vibrancy. In fact I already used this as based color for my Christmas Tree nail art.

Wait for my next post and you'll appreciate the color more, after I painted a simple design and covered it with top coat.

Nail Art: Colorful Burst

Today's nail art is actually a remake of the Fireworks nail art that I did last week. Per suggestions, this time I played with more colors.

For the base color I used, Revlon Top Speed Black Star the same nail polish I used for the Black and White Skulls nail art.

As usual, the designs were hand painted using red, yellow, light green, light blue and white acrylic paints.

The colors did stood out except for the red on my pinky nails, I should have mixed the red paint with white to produce pink color. But I have no time left, my little boy had woke up already.

What was done, is done I already sealed the design with my favorite top coat. And this design is projected to stay on my nails for 3 to 4 days.

Looking carefully, I think I did better the first time. My strokes were more fine and stable then compared now. Anyway, this nail art is for personal use only so no harm done. winks*

Nail Polish: Bobbie Cherry Blossom + Bobbie Lush

Let's take a break for a while from nail art because the previous nail art I did is still in my fingers right, I quite busy and lazy to do another art on my nails.

So today I'm sharing to you some nail polish swatches that I have tried last year but were never published.

These are the some of my favorite shades from Bobbie Nail Creme a local brand that produces variety of unique colors that every girl should have.

The light to bright red shimmering nail polish is the Bobbie Cherry Blossom. The glitters made this nail polish elegant. I already used this nail polish as base color of my strawberry nail art.

The green polish is Lush also from Bobbie, I already did a review on this before, here.  As I've said before Lush is an opaque, deep-green color. See the color? my favorite green so far.

Actually these nail polishes were on my nails last month in time for Christmas.

Even without nail art these alone are already Christmasy.

Nail Art: Fireworks

Let us start the year with a BANG! Fireworks filled the sky on New Year and I wanted them to fill-up my nails too. Yep! I wanted fireworks on my nails sobadly, but I do not know how to start, how my strokes should be. Thanks to the tutorial of Simply Rins  I was able to do it.

Here's my version. I do not know if was able give justice to it. But in some points it does looks like fireworks. hehehe

For the base polish, I used two thick coats of Chic by Revlon Nail Enamels. I bought this last month at Robinson's it was on sale. A teal blue creme polish that is so unique. :)

For the design, I used Yellow Ochre Acrylic Paint. I guessed the color blend well with the base polish.

Using my trimmed detailing nail art brush I drew the fireworks bursts one by one with inward stroke.
I managed to neatly draw the design on my right fingernails using my non dominant hand (left). weeh! cool!

I made this nail art a while ago while little boy is sleeping.

Thank goodness my son's yaya already know how to use the camera, and she took these photos (showing both my hands). Hubby is not around he's at the hospital right now with his father.

Compared to the lighter background, the design had stood out with the red background (our Christmas throw pillow), and my hands look fairer too lol..

Looking thoroughly at the pictures, I really was able to give justice to this nail art. It looks so great on my nails hehehe.. :) Do you agree?

You can do the same by simply following the tutorial of Ms Rina Alcantara.

Happy New Year!
