Nail Art: Chocolate Candy Ice Cream

Using most of the pretty nail polishes from Etude House that I got recently, I came out with a very delicious design and I'm calling it the Chocolate Candy Ice Cream, because it does looks like it.

For the base colors, I used the following;

Look at My Candy Nails Collection
COR 202 Longing for Spring
CPP501 Look at Her
CBL601 Catching Balloon on Sky

Dear My Neon Nails Collection
NGR 701 Fresh Melon
NBE 101 Warning Yellow

For the yummy chocolate toppings I used Chocolate Truffle from Revlon. My ice cream nails look more delicious with sprinkled candies also using nail polishes from Etude House.

Selecting the right top coat,

using usual shine finish top coat.

How about applying the Matte Top Coat also from Etude House...

Looks cool, but I still prefer the shiny effect for this design.

How about you?

Tell me what you think?

Nail Polish: Maybelline Red Comet

I bought Maybelline Express Finish "Red Comet" more than 3 months ago in an online shop (forgot the name of the online shop) but wasn't able to try it until today. Maybe because I'm not really a super fan of red nail polish.

But after applying them on my nails WOW! I had a change of heart, I'm so starting to love red. And I really regret ignoring it for the past 3 months, I should have wear it right away because this nail polish totally rocks!

Red Comet, as the name implies is a  red metallic nail polish that is so fast to dry, and take note of the red glitters that makes it totally awesome.

I should  have started my nail polish thing few years back, I would have had a pretty nails back then. Because I think this pretty thing had already existed 3 years ago.

Look how elegant my nails are (parang pang mayaman, hehe).. :)

Do you agree? Tell me what you think.

Nail Art: Green Hearts

To neutralize the neonish color of China Glaze Electric Pineapple I chose to paint something green on my nails. I painted hearts it and call this nail art the "Green Hearts".

The hearts are not that perfect, I still need more more practice. Nevertheless, I still love the outcome. "love your own!" lol

I really want to join nail art challenges but I'm not confident. I guess don't I have the skill yet maybe next time.

Nail Polish: China Glaze Electric Pineapple

This is one of my first set of China Glaze nail lacquers that I have purchased back in June. But wasn't able to do swatches and review, until today.

Anyways, here's what I can say about this particular nail polish.

Electric Pineapple is one of the China Glaze Island Escape Collection. It is a yellow-green creme nail polish, the I come to love. The formula is good although I had difficulty in the application the first time I tried it, but after another try I was able to paint them on my nails evenly.

The color is kind of neon. My office mates will definitely notice this on my nails. I have to do a nail art for this later on to neutralize the color.

Watch out for the nail art on the next post later. :)

Nail Polish: Revlon Chocolate Truffle

After Revlon Perplex, my next swatches will be the Chocolate Truffle also from Revlon one of my latest finds.

A rich chocolate brown formula, with right consistency that made it easy for me to apply on my nails.

With two coats it will give full opacity but still I prefer 3 coats on my nails for a richer look.

Revlon's indeed are chip resistant nail polishes and do delivers smooth finish.

One of my yummy favorite color. :) love it! :)

Nail Art: Perplexed

Don't know what to call this nail art, I'm a little perplexed. It may look like leaves or grains or just simply whatever.

I used the word "perplexed" not only because the base color is Revlon Perplex but because I am confused.

Nevertheless, this abstract thing looks good huh! :)

Nail Polish: Revlon Perplex

From my recent nail polish finds, here's the first color I chose to apply on my nails the Revlon Perplex. This polish has been out in the market since 2010, and only recently I was able to own one and at a very discounted price tag.

Perplex is purple taupe nail polish, that I fell in love with the moment I did the first stroke on my nail. Yes, as what other blogs who did reviews before, this pretty gives off stunning purplish shimmer when hit by light and it's totally awesome. They even mentioned that it's a dupe of Chanel Paradoxal, well, who cares I don't even have that Chanel thing either.

Anyway, I have no problem with application it has the right consistency and with two coats it will give you complete opacity, but in my case I still prefer three coatings.

What I also love about Revlon is the long slender brush that makes the application easier.

Although, I only had this lately that is because I only discovered my passion with nail polish recently, but still I'm thankful adding this on my "NP box". As what the saying says "it's better late than not having it at all". *winks*

Thanks to my friend Ann for getting this for me. :) mwah! :)

Polish Finds: Revlon Grape Icy, Perplex, Chocolate Truffle and Devilish

My office mate has a friend who sells imported cosmetics and other beauty products. You can find popular brands on her stocks and are all from US, and most importantly she sells them more than 50% cheaper than mall prices.

I've listed what I wanted from Revlon nail care and asked my office mate to get them for me but the colors that I have listed we're already sold out and these are the only remaining colors.

Revlon's Grape Icy, Perplex, Chocolate Truffle and Devilish.

Although, I wasn't able to get the colors I wanted, I'm still lucky to have these pretties even though they are from old color collection because I got them only at P130.00 each compared to buying them from the mall that cost around P275.00. Great steal right?! :)
