Nail Art: Christmas Tree

My nails are back in shape and as promised, this month I'll be making Christmas inspired nail arts. The designs may not be perfectly done because I'm still practicing my free-hand painting, but as much as possible I want it to be neat and attractive. (crossfingers!)

Today I'm sharing my first ever Christmas inspired nail art, the "Christmas Tree".

For the base color, I applied 3 coats of Emerald City of Revlon Matte Suede Collection. I love the shimmering effect of this nail polish.

For the accent nails, I used also of 3 coats Revlon Top Speed 'Stone Wash". This is my only white polish that dries up fast.

And for the design, I painted a Christmas Tree on the accented nails, of course using green acrylic paint.

For the rest of the nails, I painted sparkle stars of white and golden yellow. Although the sparkle stars were not that perfectly done but it does look like it.

Then I added dots of white and golden yellow too to complete the look also using acrylic paints.

The color is so Christmas right? And I find it more attractive after sealing the design with top coat.

I only had two accented nails, because painting the Christmas Trees are easier said than done especially drawing with my non-dominant hand (left hand).

So how's my first Christmas Nail Art?

P.S.

I know a lot you wants me to make a tutorial, I really want too but as of now I'm not that confident to do so yet. Maybe by next year.. :) ciao!

  1. It's a wonderful idea to make one nail on each finger different than the rest. It breaks the monotony. :) I doubt if the nail technician in the salon can do the Christmas tree, but I think I'll try the sparkle stars. :)

  11. Your investment on nail polishes must be so much at this time. How often do you change your polish?

I usually change nail polish every 3 to 4 days average. :)

  12. How long do you usually do your nail arts? They are so great and I'm thinking that they are so time consuming. But if I'm correctly understands it, you also work right?

    1. I made this nail art in less than 2 hours while my son was sleeping last Friday afternoon. Some were done at night also as soon as my son is in bed. That is why I'm using fast dry nail polish so that I can finish it in that short span.

Yes I do work from 8am-5pm M-F. And I usually so my ComEx while waiting for my nails to dry before going to sleep. :)

    2. I have to ask someone to do my nails for me... and to think I stick to pink! Everyone must expect you to always have some interesting design to "invent"...

  13. I see you're into the season's motif already. I was wondering how you maintain beautiful nails. I see some women with hideous looking nails due to constant nail polish abuse. But yours look beautiful as ever. How do you do that?

    1. So far this how I treat my nails;

As much as possible I remove the nail polish within 3 to 4 days and sometimes left it for a day polish free.

Before applying nail polish (colored polish) I apply base coat first. This is to prevent my nails from staining.

I think using shampoo with water instead of cuticle remover when doing manicures helps prevent my nails from additional exposure to chemicals.

So far yan lang ginagawa ko sis, minsan hindi maiwasan napuputol din yung nails ko kaya hindi ko masyado pinapahaba. :)
