Nail Art: Zebra and Tiger Nails

Seeing professional nail artists do their works on you tube, look so easy but when I tried it, I found it very very difficult. Maybe because I don't have a wonder artist hands that can draw anything perfectly. I wonder, if after so many days, months and years will pass will I ever improve this so called skills and can eventually create something appealing to others eyes? I don't know let's just wait and see.

Meantime, I'm sharing my second very easy nail art from two months ago and I called it Zebra and Tiger Nails.

I used a black nail polish from a local nail polish brand Rain and created lines on top of it using nail art brush with silver  polish on my right and gold on the left nails.

On this design, since it is very simple it took me less than an hour to do it. You can easily try it too...

The Birth of Nails and Kolours

Today, I decided to create a separate blog about my new passion, my new addiction. This blog is all about nails, nail polishes, nail arts and a lot more.

Though I am fond of having my nails done before, but only until 2 months ago that I became addicted to it after a friend of mine introduced me to nail art. She was a newbie too, and seeing her experimenting designs on her nails, woke up my inner interest.

After that I bought some nail polishes and nail art pens in a local store here in the city and made my first ever design.

Four-petal flowers on top of a platinum shade base coat nail polish.

This very simple flower design looks so cute on my nails though, lol... and it took me more than two hours to do it after several trials and errors and half bottle of acetone wasted because of several removal of bad attempts but it really was worth it. I was so satisfied with my first ever work of art.

Honestly, I am a person that has no interest on make-ups and cosmetics, I settle myself with press powder, a little bit of cheek tint and lip gloss and I'm off to go. But this time I found my new fashion passion, that is beautifying my nails. I feel pretty whenever I see my nails nicely done. It feel so relieving, it's like wearing a striking lipstick on my lips. Well, the feeling must be the same after all nail polishes are the new lipsticks of this era.

Cloverly Pretty

I named this set of handmade jewelry as cloverly pretty obviously because the main attraction swarovski bead that I have used here are of clover shape. This is one of the new shapes that I got from my supplier.

I made an earring and bracelet set for this one, combining it with 4mm bicone beads and 4mm 14/20 ball spacer to create this pretty set. Available colors for now are

jet black

 golden shadow

and copper

I hope you like it.

You can drop me a line if you want the same piece. Because these sets will be sent to my sister-in-law, she's the one selling all my creations to her co-teachers.

Have a Nice Day..

Nail Art: Flower Swirl

Using a dotting tool, I am really trying so hard to master how to make flower designs on my nails. Perfectly spacing the dots to create a 5 petal flower is really difficult for a beginner like me. I really wish I'll be able to master this craft soon. Anyway, for the meantime I'll settle for a not so perfect flower design with a little bit of swirls on the side.

I used a color violet velvet polish from Bobbie as base and for the design I chose light color nail polish like green shade, light blue, baby pink and light yellow for the flowers and white satin for the swirls.

Choosing light color polish for the design on top of a dark base is just perfect.

This is one cute piece of art to start off my week.

Nail Art: White Grass on Pink Nails

In my attempt to share something that is well made, I finally came up with this simple design inspired by other designers that I have found on the web.

My version is a kind of grassy effect with base from the one corner of the nail spreading outward/upward to the center. And made the design on all the fingers.

I used passion pink color as base and white polish for the grass effect.

And to add style, I put on frosted light pink nail polish as base on the ring fingernail and thumbnail using also the same white polish for the design.

The effect was quite impressive for me. I love the combination though it's neat and girly.

I'll definitely do the same design using green polish next time.

What do you think?

Amelia Bracelet - Earring Set

One of the newest bracelet design that I have made for this year is composed of swarovski top drilled bicone crystals combined with swarovski bicone beads. Wiring the two top drilled bicone crystals back-to-back makes it a unique and stylish embellishment for a bracelet.

I had made an earring also to make it a set.

Want it? Send me a message. :) enjoy!

Nail Art: Go Dots

For a beginner like me, I always go for a very easy design to do on my nails, even as easy as making dots still took me sometime to complete. Using three (3) sizes of dotting tools that I have bought online, I made my second piece the "go dots" nail art.

These are the locally bought nail polishes that I have used. Bobbie's Glaze Parasail (violet) as base color. While for the dots I have used OMG's First Date (Pink), OMG's Banana Boat (Yellow) and Chic's Silky White.

I placed the dots diagonally and alternately on each finger. Here goes the final result.

A very easy design for beginner like me.
